Syms/Errs (cdma2000/1xEV-DV)

When cdma2000/1xEV-DV demodulation is enabled, the ChanSyms/Errs trace shows the channel symbol table. The symbol table provides the signal quality error summary information and the binary bits for each symbol for the specified code channel and code layer. The bottom half of the display shows the symbol bit data and the upper half shows the error summary data.

For more information see the following topics:

There is also composite error summary trace data (Trace > Data > Channel 1 Comp > Error Summary), which provides the error information for the composite signal (see About Composite Error Summary Table).

Selecting Reverse link IQ Symbol Bit data

For Reverse link signals, the "I" and "Q" data channels are logically separate signals. All trace data results contain both the "I" and the "Q" branches of the signal, except the symbol binary bit data. The symbol data shows either the "I" or the "Q" symbol bits as specified by the I/Q channel parameter (MeasSetup > cdma2000/1xEV-DV Demod Properties > Channel/Layer tab).
