Parameter Interactions (Digital Demod)

When using digital demodulation, changing one parameter may necessitate changes in other parameters to achieve the desired measurement. For example,

• Symbol rate limits frequency span.
• Frequency span limits search length.
• Search length limits number of symbols.
• Number of symbols limits search offset and the length of the equalization filter.
• Minimum frequency span may limit the symbol rate (this may occur when playing back a recording or analyzing data from the stream interface).
