Extended Frequency Lock Range (DOCSIS 4.0 Downstream)

Extended Frequency Lock Range increases the range in which the demodulator will be able to lock onto the signal. The Extended Frequency Lock Range parameter uses the Extended Frequency Lock Width parameter value to specify the extended frequency offset lock range (in subcarriers). Selecting Extended Frequency Lock Range will increase the frequency offset lock range to ± the Extended Frequency Lock Width subcarrier spacing on either side of the center frequency.

Default: 10 subcarriers

Range: 1 - (FFT Length) subcarriers

Use Extended Frequency Lock Range if the VSA is failing to lock onto the measurement signal.

Extending the frequency lock range causes the measurement to take longer so this feature should be selected only when necessary.
