OFDM Eq Ch Freq Resp (DOCSIS 4.0 Downstream)

The OFDM Eq Ch Freq Resp trace for DOCSIS 4.0 Downstream modulation displays the channel frequency response trace data for the specified measurement hardware.

Channel Frequency response is optimized using the settings in the See "Equalizer & Tracking Tab (DOCSIS 4.0 Downstream)"tab. See the Equalizer Properties topic for more information.

The frequency response data results are similar to the Digital Demodulation Ch Frequency Response trace data. The differences are:

Digital Demodulation computes frequency response by comparing the IQ Meas Time and IQ Ref Time data, while the DOCSIS 4.0 Downstream frequency response is computed based on the equalizer setting (pilot, pilot+data).
Digital Demodulation typically uses a running average to average multiple scans when computing the equalizer frequency response. DOCSIS 4.0 Downstream demodulation does not average, but computes a new equalizer response for each burst.
The equalization filter is inherent to DOCSIS 4.0 Downstream Demodulation, it cannot be enabled/disabled like in Digital Demodulation.
