Ref BER Bits (DVB-S2/S2X)

Trace > Data > Demod > Display CC > Ref BER Bits

The Ref BER Bits trace shows only the reference bits (known PN 1) part number, or 2) packet number sequence or custom bit sequence) that are BER Enabled. Compare this trace with the Meas BER Bits trace to identify where bit errors are located.

By default, the bits are displayed in 8-bit bytes in hexadecimal format. Like other bit displays in the VSA software, Trace > Digital Demod > Symbol Table Format can be used to switch from hex to binary.
