Burst Search Threshold (GSM/EDGE/EDGE Evolution)
-30 dB
0 to -200 dB
specifies the burst search threshold relative to the peak power level. The demodulator determines the rising and falling edge of the burst using this threshold.
The RF Radio Frequency: A generic term for radio-based technologies, operating between the Low Frequency range (30k Hz) and the Extra High Frequency range (300 GHz). power envelope of the rising edge must start below this threshold to be detected as the rising edge of a burst. Likewise, the falling edge of the burst must fall below this threshold to be detected as the falling edge of the burst by the demodulator.
