Wide Frequency Lock Range (GSM/EDGE/EDGE Evolution)

Default: Selected

Wide Frequency Lock Range allows the demodulator to lock onto signals that are not closely centered at the VSA's center frequency. However, this comes at a slight cost of measurement speed.

When Wide Frequency Lock Range is selected, the demodulator can lock onto the signal when the center of the signal is within 400 kHz kiloHertz: A radio frequency measurement (one kilohertz = one thousand cycles per second). of the VSA's center frequency.

When Wide Frequency Lock Range is cleared, the signal must be within 350 Hz of the VSA's center frequency for the demodulator to be able to lock onto the signal.
