Spectrum (GSM/EDGE/EDGE Evolution)

The Spectrum trace displays the averaged frequency spectrum of the data from the Time trace. When averaging is OFF, the Spectrum and Inst Spectrum traces are identical, as shown in the following block diagram (the block diagram is part of the Digital Demodulation Block Diagram).

The Spectrum trace has the following characteristics:

Derived from pre-demodulated time data, which is 25% longer than the Timeslot that is demodulated.
Averaged when averaging is ON and the average type is RMS(Video), RMS(Video) Exponential, or Continuous Peak Hold averaging.

When averaging is ON, a scan is not included in the average when any of these conditions exist: Pulse Not Found, Sync Not Found, Carrier Unlock.
