Limits Tab (Markers)

The Limits tab of the Markers dialog box selects a limit test to apply to the active trace. The limit test can be auto-generated by the measurement or a specific Limit Test that has been created (user-specified).

The Limits marker is the only marker that defaults to being enabled.

The Limits tab dialog box includes these properties and functions:

Trace selection dropdown box: at the top of the Limits tab is a dropdown box for selecting the trace on which to enable the Limits marker.
Limit Test check box
- Selected: Applies the selected limit test to the active trace (spectrum or time data only).
- Cleared: Disables the Limit Test function.
Name: Selects a user-specified limit test by name or the limit line that is associated with the trace ("<Limit Test from Trace>"). The limit test that is associated with the trace was either autogenerated by the measurement or, for recalled traces, was the limit test that was selected at the time the trace was saved.
Edit: Provides a shortcut to the Limit Tests dialog for editing the currently selected, user-specified limit test.
