The External TTL trigger style triggers the measurement hardware using a signal connected to the external trigger connector. The VSA begins a measurement when the external-trigger signal meets the trigger conditions specified: trigger level, trigger slope, and trigger delay.

Check the model-specific section of Measurement Platforms > Measurement Hardware for details about which of the trigger types are supported for a specific model of hardware.

The limits are -5 Vpk to +5 Vpk.
