Repeat Averaging (Averaging)

Repeat averaging only applies to linear (non-exponential and non-Peak Hold) averages.

If the average is linear and is selected, the VSA normally stops after reaching the number of averages specified. With repeat averaging on, the VSA does not stop. Instead, it clears existing data and uses the next trace to start a new average. The VSA continues this cycle until Repeat Averaging is turned off, averaging is turned off, or Pause/Single is clicked.

For further details, refer to the topics covering sweeping and the Pause/Single control.
