Auto Time Resolution (Time)

Default: Cleared

For the VSA to determine the best Span, ResBW and Window Type for a given Time Length, it is recommended that Auto Frequency Points be enabled rather than Auto Time Resolution. Auto Frequency Points provides the most flexibility in specifying a ResBW or Time Length for a given Span and Window Type.

The Auto Time Resolution parameter remains available for software backwards compatibility. Selecting the Auto Time Resolution check box causes the VSA to automatically reduce or increase the frequency span when the value of main time length exceeds that allowed by the current span. This is useful to set main length and let the VSA select the time resolution, that is, let the VSA choose the span.
