Sign (Digital Input)

Logic Analyzer data buses consist of several (n) digital channels grouped together in a specified order and given a name. Each sample is interpreted by the 89600 VSA as an n-bit signed integer. The sign convention may be either two’s complement or offset binary. If offset binary is chosen, the n-bit number 100…0 represents 0.0; 100…1 represents 1/2^(n-1) and 011…1 represents –1/2^(n-1) . If the composition calls for two buses, the Sign property applies to both.

For polar formats, Magnitude is interpreted as a signed integer.

The Sign property is the same for all channels. Setting the value for any channel sets the same value on all other channels.
