Recall Trace (Save and Recall)
Any saved trace can be recalled into a data register (to learn how to save a trace, see Saving and Recalling Traces), as follows:
- From the menu, click
- In the resulting dialog box, select the trace that to recall.
- Click , which the opens the dialog box.
- Select a data register (D1, D2, ...) to hold the trace.
- Select the

is selected, the contents of the data register will replace the active trace when is clicked (next step).
check box when to show the contents of the selected data register in the active trace.

For some trace file formats, traces can be saved with or without a data header. To recall a trace, be sure to save it with the data header. The data header includes settings the VSA needs to correctly recreate the saved waveform (such as resolution bandwidth, windowing function, and X and Y units).
