Using Data Registers

The 89600 VSA software provides data registers for storing and retrieving trace data. Data registers are stored in memory for the current 89600 VSA session and the data registers are cleared when the 89600 VSA application is closed.

Data registers can also store user-defined data such as a custom filter to be used in the Digital Demodulator.

Saving Data Register data

A data register cannot be saved directly. To save the contents of a data register, click Trace > Data > Register to show the contents of the data register in a trace window, and then save the trace using the Save Trace menu (click File > Save > Save Trace).

Recalling Data Register data

You can recall a file that follows one of the supported formats into a data register by clicking File > Recall > Recall Trace.

The supported formats are listed in the file types dropdown in the Recall Trace dialog next to the filename text box. Information about these formats can be found in the Supported File Formats section of the help.
