DC Offset (Input Analog Tab)

Menu Path: Input > Analog

The DC Offset parameter specifies the amount of DC to add to the analog signal prior to the ADC Analog-to-Digital Converter in order to add or remove DC to the input signal. The DC component can contribute to the full scale Range limit of the ADC and result in worse dynamic range than could be achieved without the DC component present. So, this parameter can be used to help zero out the DC component prior to the ADC and allow for better dynamic range.

Support for this parameter is hardware dependent. Check the Measurement Hardware > Available Measurement Hardware section of the help to find out if the specific hardware being used supports this parameter.
