Display (Line Tab)

The limit line display determines what is displayed: the limit line, the margin line or both the limit line and the margin line. The limit line and/or margin line need to be displayed to be tested. When both the limit line and margin line are displayed, the limit line is drawn on top of the margin line if there is an overlap.

The default colors are red for a limit line and yellow for a margin line. The trace failure color defaults to the same as the line colors, red for limit lines and yellow for margin lines. These colors can be changed in the Color Tab of the Display Preferences Dialog Box. When a limit line and/or margin line is displayed, it’s name and pass/fail status and information appears in the marker results area at the bottom of the screen. If a limit line and/or margin line fails, the worst-case failed point is displayed (showing the X-axis value and how much it failed by). If the limit line and/or margin line passes, the point with the smallest margin is shown (X-axis value and it’s Y-axis margin).
