AvgPkVal is used by the 5 MB-OFDM Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing: OFDM employs multiple overlapping radio frequency carriers, each operating at a carefully chosen frequency that is Orthogonal to the others, to produce a transmission scheme that supports higher bit rates due to parallel channel operation. OFDM is an alternative tranmission scheme to DSSS and FHSS. Limit Tests that are included with the 89600 VSA to adjust the top of the Spectral Mask at the peak of the PacketSpectrum, as defined by the WiMedia standards. This selection is set to the peak of each of the MB-OFDM PacketSpectrum trace (one Composite, one for each band in the case of hopped signals). |
