Limits Tab (Licenses)
The tab on the Licenses dialog box displays the VSA software's limits based on the installed license, connected hardware and selected measurement.
Current License
The Current License area displays the VSA's licensed level of capability: Essentials, Standard or Advanced. The part in parentheses is the name of the installed license, which is also shown in the Status tab's License field.
Selected Measurement Limits
Selected Measurement Limits shows the frequency, IQ span and channel count limits of the currently configured VSA measurement. See License Limits for a full list of limits for each license tier.
Hardware/Playback Capabilities - This column shows the limits of the currently connected hardware or playback file being used.
When switching between live and playback, the Hardware/Playback Capabilities limits will reflect the live case when not doing playback, and when doing playback will reflect hardware capabilities limits based on the playback file being used.
The name of the column changes from Hardware Capabilities" to "Playback Capabilities" when using playback from a recording.
License Limits - This column shows the limits applied by the Current License. These limits supersede the hardware/playback capabilities limits. If a value is shown in red with bold text, the license limits are more restrictive than the hardware/playback capabilities.
Measurement Limits - This column shows the resulting measurement limits based on the hardware/playback capabilities and the installed Option 20x license's limits.
License Limits
License Limits shows the limits for each Option 20x licensing tier (Essentials, Standard, and Advanced). The currently installed license tier is outlined with a blue border. This allows you to compare the limits of your current license with other tiers.
Analyzer Max Frequency - Maximum analyzer frequency allowed by the installed Option 20x license.
Analyzer Max IQ Span - Maximum analyzer IQ span allowed by the installed Option 20x license.
Measurement Max Channel Count - Maximum number of measurement channels allowed by the installed Option 20x license.
Max Measurement Count - Maximum number of measurements (multi-measurements) allowed by the installed Option 20x license.
Allowed HW Types - Instrument connectivities allowed by the installed Option 20x license.
Max App Instance Count - Maximum number of simultaneous VSA instances allowed by the installed Option 20x license.
