Redeeming a License

To obtain a transportable license, you must:

Obtain the license Host ID of the PC on which the VSA Software is installed.
Request the transportable license from the Keysight 89600 VSA website.

Finding the Host ID

To find the Host ID for the PC on which you have installed Keysight 89600 Software, follow these steps:

Locate the Keysight License Service icon at the right of the Windows Toolbar.

You can find the icon either on the Windows Notification Area:

Or in the notification pop-up, opened by clicking the Show Hidden Icons up-arrow to the left of the Notification Area:
Right-click the License Service Icon to display a selection menu, and select About Keysight License Service.
Click Copy Host ID to copy your PC's Host ID into the Windows clipboard.

For Measurement Hardware (instruments), the Host IDs consist of an Keysight instrument model number and serial number. On a desktop or laptop PC, the default model number is PCSERNO.

Requesting the Transportable License

Collect the Software License Entitlement Certificates for all copies of the 89600 software and each software option that you purchased. The Software License Entitlement Certificates are printed on gray parchment and are shipped in the Installation Materials envelope.
Go to the Keysight Software Manager website at http://www.keysight.com/find/softwaremanager and follow the instructions to register and assign your licenses.

If you have not registered, you will need to register using your email address and a password. Remember your password as you will need to go back to this website to manage your licenses.
When registering a license, the requested Order Number and Certificate Number are located on the top of your Software License Entitlement Certificate.
When assigning a license, the requested Host ID is from the Keysight License Manager in step 2 above. If you are accessing the website from the same PC that the VSA software was installed on, you can simply copy and paste the Host ID into the website form.
If your order includes 89601B-200 you will also be activating your Update Service subscription at this website.

After you finish using the Keysight Software Manager website, check your email for your license file, then go to Installing a License.
