Multiple Access (LTE Downlink)

Multiple Accessselects the multiple access technique to be used in the LTE Long Term Evolution demod configuration. For LTE Downlink, the choices are:

OFDMA - The default multiple access value for LTE Downlink is OFDMA.
MUST - MUST (Multiple User Superposition Transmission) configures the LTE demodulator for two users to transmit data on the same time-frequency resource blocks, but with different power levels.

Selecting MUST enables the MUST parameters under the 5G Candidate tab. Selecting MUST also adds MustUser1 IQ Meas, MustUser1 IQ Ref, MustUser2 IQ Meas, and MustUser2 IQ Ref trace selections to the Trace > Data > Layer n menu, and adds PUSCH Physical Uplink Shared Channel_MUST, User01, and User02 EVM Error vector magnitude (EVM): A quality metric in digital communication systems. The specification (TR36.859 v0.3.0) allows for two or more users; however, the VSA currently supports two users.
