EVM Minimization: Amplitude (LTE)

Default: Selected

When Amplitude is selected, the LTE Long Term Evolution demod compares the reference signal with the expected value and computes an error which is used to scale the amplitude of the subcarrier values in each symbol.

When EVM Minimization is set to 3GPP, corrections are computed using RS+Data and applied to each subframe for downlink and each slot for uplink.

When EVM Minimization is set to Tracking, corrections are computed using RS or RS+Data (based on the Equalizer Training selection) and applied to each symbol.

EVM Error vector magnitude (EVM): A quality metric in digital communication systems. See the EVM metric in the Error Summary Table topic in each demodulator for more information on how EVM is calculated for that modulation format. Minimization corrections are different from equalization or synchronization, which are applied to an entire frame. See Equalizer Training and EVM Minimization for more information about corrections applied to the frame.
