PUSCH Decode Parameters (LTE)
The configure decoding of HARQ Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request-ACK Acknowledgement, RI Rank Indicator, and CQI Channel Quality Indicator/PMI Precoding Matrix Indicator information bits.
See the PUSCH Physical Uplink Shared Channel HARQ, RI, and CQI/PMI data results in the table for more information.
Auto
The parameter enables or disables Info Size auto-detection for PUSCH HARQ-ACK, RI and CQI/PMI.
Please refer to the associated Dynamic Info Size property for details of the auto-detection functionality supported when Auto is true.
For PUSCH HARQ-ACK, RI and CQI/PMI, if the Info Size content is known and 'static' (i.e. size is fixed or constant) for all PUSCH subframe allocations, then for best PUSCH decoding speed performance, we recommend setting Auto to false, and instead manually configure the appropriate Info Size value.
Default: True
Dynamic Info Size
The parameter when set to true, indicates that the HARQ-ACK Info Size, RI Info Size and CQI/PMI Info Size content within the measured test signals PUSCH allocations is expected to be dynamically changing within each PUSCH allocated subframe to be measured. Otherwise when set to false, indicates that the HARQ-ACK Info Size, RI Info Size and CQI/PMI Info Size content within the measured test signals PUSCH allocations is expected to be fixed or constant within all PUSCH allocated subframes to be measured.
Note the value of the Dynamic Info Size parameter affects how the HARQ-ACK Info Size, RI Info Size and CQI/PMI Info Size content will be auto-detected when its associated Auto parameter is enabled.
False (default) - The PUSCH HARQ-ACK Info Size content is 'static' (i.e. size is fixed or constant) for all PUSCH subframe allocations. For this 'static' test case, if the Auto parameter is true, the PUSCH HARQ-ACK Info Size value will be auto-detected from the first active PUSCH subframe allocation, and the auto-detected value will be applied for the decoding of all remaining active PUSCH subframes.
If the first active PUSCH subframe CRC Cyclic Redundancy Check decode is unsuccessful, then the PUSCH HARQ-ACK Info Size value will be set to 0 for the decoding of all remaining active PUSCH subframes. For improved PUSCH HARQ-ACK Info Size auto-detection speed performance, setting the Dynamic Info Size parameter to false is recommended when testing signals with unknown but 'static' PUSCH HARQ-ACK Info Size content.
True - The PUSCH HARQ-ACK Info Size content is 'dynamic' (i.e. size can be different) for each of the PUSCH subframe allocations. For this 'dynamic' test case, if the Auto parameter is true, the PUSCH HARQ-ACK Info Size value will be auto-detected separately for each active PUSCH subframe allocation. Note, if the PUSCH HARQ-ACK Info Size content is unknown but 'static' (i.e. size is fixed or constant) for all PUSCH subframe allocations, then we recommend setting the Dynamic Info Size parameter to false for improved PUSCH HARQ-ACK Info Size auto-detection speed performance.
False (default) - The PUSCH RI Info Size content is 'static' (i.e. size is fixed or constant) for all PUSCH subframe allocations. For this 'static' test case, if the Auto parameter is true, the PUSCH RI Info Size value will be auto-detected from the first active PUSCH subframe allocation, and the auto-detected value will be applied for the decoding of all remaining active PUSCH subframes.
If the first active PUSCH subframe CRC decode is unsuccessful, then the PUSCH RI Info Size value will be set to 0 for the decoding of all remaining active PUSCH subframes. For improved PUSCH RI Info Size auto-detection speed performance, setting the Dynamic Info Size parameter to false is recommended when testing signals with unknown but 'static' PUSCH RI Info Size content.
True - The PUSCH RI Info Size content is 'dynamic' (i.e. size can be different) for each of the PUSCH subframe allocations. For this 'dynamic' test case, if the Auto parameter is true, the PUSCH RI Info Size value will be auto-detected separately for each active PUSCH subframe allocation. Note, if the PUSCH RI Info Size content is unknown but 'static' (i.e. size is fixed or constant) for all PUSCH subframe allocations, then we recommend setting the Dynamic Info Size parameter to false for improved PUSCH RI Info Size auto-detection speed performance.
False (default) - The PUSCH CQI/PMI Info Size content is 'static' (i.e. size is fixed or constant) for all PUSCH subframe allocations. For this 'static' test case, if the Auto parameter is true, the PUSCH CQI/PMI Info Size value will be auto-detected from the first active PUSCH subframe allocation, and the auto-detected value will be applied for the decoding of all remaining active PUSCH subframes.
If the first active PUSCH subframe CRC decode is unsuccessful, then the PUSCH CQI/PMI Info Size value will be set to 0 for the decoding of all remaining active PUSCH subframes. For improved PUSCH CQI/PMI Info Size auto-detection speed performance, setting the Dynamic Info Size parameter to false is recommended when testing signals with unknown but 'static' PUSCH CQI/PMI Info Size content.
True - The PUSCH CQI/PMI Info Size content is 'dynamic' (i.e. size can be different) for each of the PUSCH subframe allocations. For this 'dynamic' test case, if the Auto parameter is true, the PUSCH CQI/PMI Info Size value will be auto-detected separately for each active PUSCH subframe allocation. Note, if the PUSCH CQI/PMI Info Size content is unknown but 'static' (i.e. size is fixed or constant) for all PUSCH subframe allocations, then we recommend setting the Dynamic Info Size parameter to false for improved PUSCH CQI/PMI Info Size auto-detection speed performance.
Info Size
The parameter specifies the number of bits for all PUSCH transmissions for the selected uplink user allocation.
When the check box is selected for HARQ-ACK, RI, or CQI/PMI, the corresponding information bit size will be autodetected as far as possible.
The possible range of information bits is listed as follows:
- HARQ-ACK bits range: 0-11 bits
- RI bits range: 0-2 bits
- CQI-PMI bits range: 0-128 bits
For best demodulation performance, specify manually.
Offset Index
The parameter specifies the value of Ioffset for HARQ-ACK, RI, and CQI in the tables listed in 3GPP TS Technical Specification 36.213, Section 8.6.3.
The possible range of values are as follows:
- HARQ-ACK bits range: 0-14 bits
- RI bits range: 0-12 bits
- CQI-PMI bits range: 0-15 bits
