PMCH (LTE)
PMCH Physical Multicast Channel is the Physical Multicast Channel and contains MBMS Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service traffic and control information and is transmitted with MBSFN-RS.
PMCH modulation types can be QPSK Quadrature phase shift keying, 16QAM, and 64QAM.
PMCH is transmitted periodically in the MBSFN region of MBSFN subframes.
The LTE Long Term Evolution Demodulator has the following restrictions when analyzing MBMS signals:
- Only 15 kHz kiloHertz: A radio frequency measurement (one kilohertz = one thousand cycles per second). subcarrier spacing is supported.
- It is assumed there is no PDSCH Physical Downlink Shared Channel in MBSFN regions within the frame.
