Per Slot Eq Chan Freq Resp (LTE)

Per Slot Eq Chan Freq Resp shows the frequency response of the channel for each slot in the Measurement Interval.

Each slot's channel frequency response is plotted as a separate line with a different color. The colors are used to visually separate each slot's channel frequency response and have no correspondence to other traces' or channels' colors.

This trace can be used to measure Spectral Flatness as defined in Section 6.5.2.4 of 3GPP TS Technical Specification 36.521-1.

The Per Slot Eq Chan Freq Resp trace contains an automatically generated ± 2 dB limit line for each slot. Any points that traverse above their respective limit line will be highlighted in red. The limit lines are drawn in red.

Although the limits for this trace are auto-generated, the limits can be customized by performing the following steps:

  1. Make the Per Slot Eq Chan Freq Resp trace active by clicking the trace title.

  2. Click Utilities > Limit Tests > From Trace

This will open the Limit Test Editor dialog with limits extracted from the Per Slot Eq Chan Freq Resp trace.

  3. Modify the limit test
    1. Select the Upper limit and click Edit.

    2. Click the Points tab and modify the limit line points.
    3. Type a name for the limit line in the Name field and click OK to save the limit line.

    4. Type a name for the limit test in the Name field and click OK to save the limit test.
  4. Apply the modified limit test

    1. Click Markers > Limits…
    2. Select the modified limit test

The selected limit test will continue to be applied in all subsequent measurement sweeps.

To revert to auto-generated limit lines, select the Per Slot Eq Chan Freq Resp trace, click Markers > Limits…, and select <Limit Test from Trace>.

For more information about limit lines, see the About Limit Lines topic.
