ChanEstCorr (MB-OFDM)

ChanEstCorr (Channel Estimation Correlation) is the correlation between the measured Channel Estimation section of the preamble and an ideal Channel Estimation. It represents an indication of the quality of the Channel Estimation section in the preamble. For MB-OFDM Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing: OFDM employs multiple overlapping radio frequency carriers, each operating at a carefully chosen frequency that is Orthogonal to the others, to produce a transmission scheme that supports higher bit rates due to parallel channel operation. OFDM is an alternative tranmission scheme to DSSS and FHSS., this is a linear correlation expressed in percentage as specified in the standard. (See About Opt BHB: Multiband-OFDM.) A value of 100% indicates perfect correlation and a value of 0 indicates no correlation.

Channel Estimation Correlation is a symbol by symbol correlation of that section of the preamble with the individual parts RMS averaged to compute the final result as specified in the standard.
