Use Case: Conflicting Requirements

When you want to analyze different aspects of your signal which have conflicting requirements for VSA parameters, you can create multiple measurements with different parameters so that you can view the results together Phase-Synchronous (Shared) Acquisition).

The following illustration shows a possible measurement you might want to perform. The signal from the DUT Device under Test: An acronym used to describe some type of electrical apparatus connected to test instrumentation. The apparatus can range from a single component to a complex subsystem such as a mobile phone, base station or MSC. contains a spur at a harmonic of the WLAN WLAN - Wireless Local Area Network: A system that includes the distribution system (DS), access points (APs), and portal entities. It is also the logical location of distribution and integration service functions of an extended service set (ESS). A WLAN system contains one or more APs and zero or more portals in addition to the DS. signal, but the measurement Span and ResBW settings for the WLAN demodulator hide the spur in the noise. In this case, you could create a second Vector measurement and configure the Span and ResBW to narrower values so that the spur is visible and can be measured.
