Downlink Format Parameters (NB-IoT)

Number of NRS Ports - Sets the number of Narrowband Reference Signal (NRS) Antenna Ports in the downlink transmission.

Reference NRS Port -When enabled (selected), use the drop-down menu to select the transmitted narrowband RS antenna reference port.

When cleared, the demodulator searches for the strongest NRS antenna port signal and uses that NRS port as the reference.

See the Reference NRS Port topic for more information.

Default: Port 2000

Choice: Cleared or Selected and Port 2000, Port 2001 depending on the Number of NRS Ports

NPSS/NSSS Ant. Port - Use the drop-down menu to select the downlink NPSS/NSSS antenna port.

This parameter specifies the antenna port that NPSS and NSSS are transmitted on. NPSS and NSSS can be transmitted on antenna Port 0 or Port 1. If the number of NRS ports is set to 1, this parameter is grayed out.

Default: Port 2000

Choice: Port 2000, Port 2001, All Ports

Ant. Det. Threshold - sets the threshold for NRS antenna port detection. The average NRS antenna port power needs to be above the antenna detection threshold in order for that antenna port to be detected by the demodulator as being present in a measurement channel. The threshold is specified relative to the average NRS power level of the reference NRS path.

Default: -36 dB

NPBCH Phase Rotation - indicates whether NPBCH has phase rotation enabled (default) or disabled. This parameter only applies to the TX Transmit or transmitter Diversity case (Number of NRS Ports > 1).
