Search Time (Pre-5G)

Search Time trace is the resampled and time adjusted input data (Raw Main Time) used by the pulse search algorithm to find the measurement OFDM Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing: OFDM employs multiple overlapping radio frequency carriers, each operating at a carefully chosen frequency that is Orthogonal to the others, to produce a transmission scheme that supports higher bit rates due to parallel channel operation. OFDM is an alternative tranmission scheme to DSSS and FHSS. burst. The amount of data included in the Search Time is specified with the Search Length parameter. The start of the Search Time trace is set to the trigger location (which corresponds to 0 seconds in Raw Main Time), however the time scale is shifted such that 0 seconds corresponds to the start of the preamble symbol.

Search Time trace is the resampled time corrected input data before pulse search, see the Digital Demodulation Block Diagram for more information.

For consistent channel power results across all traces (Summary, Spectrum, Time, etc.), set MeasSetup > ResBW > Window Type to Uniform (Rectangular).
