Logic Analyzer Hardware Connections

Logic analyzer hardware setup requires the following:

Set up the Logic Analyzer hardware according to the instructions in the Logic Analyzer on-line help. See Keysight publication 5968-4632E Probing Solutions for Logic Analyzers (available on the web at http://literature.cdn.keysight.com/litweb/pdf/5968-4632E.pdf) for guidance on connecting to your system.

Use State mode (synchronous sampling) for capturing digital data. This will require a connection to a physical bus carrying the data you wish to analyze and to a clock signal that is synchronous with the data. Make certain that the Logic Analyzer will only capture the signal data you wish to analyze. Do not capture any control or protocol information that may be interleaved with the signal data.

Custom Channel Configurations:  The Custom Channel Configurations dialog (Input > Channels > Custom...) is used to create custom channel mapping configurations, that is, you can reconfigure the hardware input channel to VSA measurement channel connections. The VSA only allows valid channel configuration mappings; "invalid" channel configuration mappings are disallowed (indicated by a red "X") and the "OK" button is disabled "greyed out".
