About Keysight E6680A/E6680E Wireless Test Set with 89600 VSA Software
The 89600 VSA software supports the KeysightE6680A/E6680E Wireless Test Set. The E6680A/E6680E integrates core signal-analysis capabilities with hardware speed and accuracy, enabling development of solutions for specific requirements. The PXIe form factor is easily scalable for modules in minimal space.
Minimum firmware version required: M.32.20
After the 89600 VSA software has been installed and the interface configured, start the VSA and set up the E6680A/E6680E:
-
Click .
-
Open the dialog box (
button). Select the E6680A/E6680E from the list of and drag it to the Configuration window. If the E6680A/E6680E is not in the Possible Logical Instrument list, the 89600 VSA is not communicating with it. Verify theE6680A/E6680E is turned on. Use the Connection Expert of Keysight I/O Control to verify the connection to the E6680A/E6680E.
- If there is more than one E6680A/E6680E, select the specific E6680A/E6680E to be used for this configuration in step 2 of the dialog box.
- In step 3, name the configuration. Click .
- Click .
- Select this Analyzer Configuration as the Current Analyzer Configuration in the tab.
: When using the Input Channel Configuration dialog to specify or modify the input channel configuration mapping, only the VSA default set of channel configuration mappings is allowed; "invalid" channel configuration mappings are disallowed and the "" button is disabled ("grayed out").
Frequency and Span Limits
When using the E6680A/E6680E, the center frequency limits are a minimum of 330 MHz Megahertz: A unit of frequency equal to one million hertz or cycles per second. and maximum of 7.535 GHz Gigahertz: A frequency measurement which equals one billion hertz.. Frequency domain components of the data are not valid outside of the center frequency limits. The maximum span supported is as follows:
| Maximum Span | Center Frequencies |
| 100 MHz | ≥ 330 MHz And < 550 MHz |
| 200 MHz | ≥ 550 MHz And < 1.31 GHz |
| 600 MHz | ≥ 1.31 GHz And < 1.9 GHz |
| 800 MHz | ≥ 1.9 GHz |
E6680E Capture Length Considerations
The E6680E switches to a post-processing mode that prioritizes signal quality over capture length when the span is greater than 292 MHz. See the E6680E Data Sheet for details.
