This topic describes the Overshoot metrics displayed in the Result Tables, Histograms, and Trend Lines.

• Overshoot (dB)

  • The magnitude at the peak level occurring directly after the pulse rising edge (mid-level crossing).

  • Overshoot is not calculated unless there are at least ten data points associated with the pulse on portion.

• Overshoot %

  • The overshoot is calculated as (Overshoot_Voltage minus Average_Top_Level) divided by Average_Range, expressed as a percentage.

  • When Amplitude Domain is set to Voltage, the Overshoot (%) metric is reported in %V units.

  • When Thresholds Amplitude Domain is set to Power, the Overshoot (%) metric is reported in %W units.
