This topic describes the Overshoot metrics displayed in the Result Tables, Histograms, and Trend Lines.

Overshoot (dB)

The magnitude at the peak level occurring directly after the pulse rising edge (mid-level crossing).

Overshoot is not calculated unless there are at least ten data points associated with the pulse on portion.

Overshoot %

The overshoot is calculated as (Overshoot_Voltage minus Average_Top_Level) divided by Average_Range, expressed as a percentage.

When Amplitude Domain is set to Voltage, the Overshoot (%) metric is reported in %V units.

When Thresholds Amplitude Domain is set to Power, the Overshoot (%) metric is reported in %W units.
