Central RU Settings (802.11n/ac/ax/be)
The Central RU Settings parameter groups apply to the 802.11ax 80 MHz Megahertz: A unit of frequency equal to one million hertz or cycles per second., 802.11ax 160 MHz, or 802.11ax 80+80 MHz standards only.
Each 80 MHz segment has a uniquely named Central RU Settings parameter group:
-
Central RU Settings (80 MHz)
-
Central RU (Left) Settings (160 MHz, first 80 MHz segment)
-
Central RU (Right) Settings (160 MHz, second 80 MHz segment)
-
Central RU (Seg 1) Settings (80+80 MHz, first 80 MHz segment)
-
Central RU (Seg 2) Settings (80+80 MHz, second 80 MHz segment)
Central RU Settings configures these parameters:
Active - Controls the state of the RU.
RU Size - Displays the width of the RU in number of tones.
Ntx - Specifies the number of transmit chains. For 11ax 80+80 MHz, as only one measurement channel is supported for each 80 MHz segment, Ntx is not editable and the value is coerced to 1.
No. of Users
User Settings
MCS modulation and coding scheme - Specifies the MCS (Modulation and Coding Scheme) index for the user.
Default: 8
Range: 0-13
Nsts - Specifies the number of spatial time streams for the user. For 11ax 80+80 MHz, as only one measurement channel is supported for each 80 MHz segment, Nsts is not editable and the value is coerced to 1.
DCM - (TB mode only) When true, DCM (Dual-Carrier Modulation) is enabled for the selected user. DCM is not applicable (grayed out) when the MCS > 4.
Coding - (TB mode only) Selects the TB coding type (UL Up Link (reverse link: from cell phone to base station) FEC Forward Error Correction: An encoding technique that allows a limited number of errors in digital stream to be corrected based on knowledge of the encoding scheme used. Coding Type subfield in the trigger frame's User Info field).
BCC binary convolutional code - BCC encoding is used.
LDPC low-density parity check- (default) LDPC encoding is used.
