Preamble Freq Error (802.11n/ac/ax/be)

The Preamble Frequency Error trace is the difference between the measured center frequency of the transmitted signal and the current VSA center frequency and shows the frequency drift during the initial part of the preamble. Preamble Frequency Error is in units of "Hz" and includes the computed frequency offset error "FreqErr"reported in the OFDM Error Summary table. Unlike most trace data, Preamble Frequency Error results are not affected by the Mirror Frequency Spectrum parameter setting.

VHT and HT-mixed signals

For VHT very high throughput (VHT) physical (PHY) layer protocol data unit (PPDU):A PPDU transmitted using the TXVECTOR FORMAT parameter equal to VHT. and HT high throughput-mixed signals, the Preamble Frequency Error covers only the Legacy Short Training Field (L-STF Non-HT Short Training field) and Legacy Long Training Field (L-LTF Non-HT Long Training field) parts of the preamble. This is the initial 16 uSecs of the burst.

HT-greenfield signals

For HT-greenfield signals, Preamble Frequency Error covers only the High Throughput Greenfield Short Training field (HT-GF-STF High-Throughput Greenfield Short Training field) and the First High Throughput Long Training Field (HT-LTF1) parts of the preamble. This is the initial 16 uSecs of the burst.
