The multiple channels feature allows you to make measurements that have different instruments, fixtures, and settings. The setup for each channel is performed each time a measurement is triggered.
The following can be different for each channel:
Instrument
Fixture
Frequency range
Number of points
Calibration
Calculation model
Measurement method.
There is no limit to the number of channels that can be created.
To see the following Channels dialog:
For Opt.001 and Opt.003, click Measure, then Channels…
For Opt.004, 005, and 006, click Calibration, then Channels…
Multiple channels is NOT available for Opt.002
The dialog shows the current channels:
New - Click to create a new channel using the default settings.
Create in a New Chart - When checked, each time New is clicked, the new channel is created in its own chart. When cleared, the new channel is created in the active (selected) chart.
Delete - Delete the highlighted channel.
Copy - Creates a copy of the highlighted channel.
Description - Used in this dialog to identify the channel.
Trigger Scope Determines which channels are measured when Trigger Measurement is selected.
Active Channel - Only the measurements in the Active Channel are triggered. The Active Channel is noted in the dialog title.
All Selected Channels - Available ONLY with Opt. 004 or Opt.001. Only the measurements in the channels are that checked in the dialog are triggered.
