Offsets

Freq Offset

Freq Offset alters the visual display on the signal generator and the frequency range limits. Range is from –200 to 200 GHz in 0.01 Hz steps. It allows the source frequency display to account for a system with frequency translation in it. Frequency Offset is also used by Generate Correction.

Ampl Offset

Amplitude Offset is an offset applied to the value and range limits of the signal generator Amplitude. Range is from –200 to 200 dB in 0.01 dB steps. If there is an amplifier with 10 dB of gain on the output of the signal generator, the amplitude offset should be set to 10 dB. Now all entries to the Amplitude value account for this external gain. Amplitude Offset is also used by Generate Correction

Mirror Spectrum

Mirror Spectrum reverses the spectrum of the waveform when it is downloaded. This is useful for systems with external upconversion and downconversion where the signal spectrum is mirrored by the conversion process. This parameter is also used by Generate Correction.
