AutoProbe III Probe Interface
Ensure that the rated voltage of any probing accessory is not exceeded by the circuit to be measured.
Do not exceed the maximum input voltage rating. The maximum input voltage for the 50 Ω inputs is ±5 Vpeak for models with 2.92 mm connector types.
Infiniium XR8 oscilloscope models with 2.92 mm connector types have the AutoProbe III interface. The AutoProbe III interface connectors have pins that provide probe power, identification, and other communication signals.
Adapters allow AutoProbe I and AutoProbe II probes to work with the InfiniiMax III probing interface. For details, see the Keysight InfiniiMax III/III+ Probing System Data Sheet. Before using the InfiniiMax III probes, review the InfiniiMax III Probe Handling Guide included with the probes and available on the Keysight web site. These probes are ESD-sensitive devices and there is a proper order for connecting probe amplifiers to the oscilloscope, probe heads to the device under test (DUT), and probe heads to the amplifier.
