Jitter/Noise Analysis Limitations
-
RJ/DJ analysis is limited to clock-type waveforms and periodic data-type waveforms.
-
A waveform that has more than ±1 UI (unit interval) of jitter generates an error message and the measurement is not made. RJ/DJ measurements require the waveform being analyzed to have some eye pattern opening.
-
Pattern length and waveform record length limitations of RJ/DJ analysis are described in Jitter Analysis Record Length Requirements.
