Troubleshooting Jitter/Noise Analysis
When troubleshooting complex measurements such as Jitter analysis, it can be useful to examine the measurement trend of a simple TIE measurement.
Memory Depth
Jitter analysis requires the source waveform to contain a minimum number of compete serial patterns. Some Jitter results are displayed if the acquisition memory depth is set too low. Marginal results are indicated by a question mark symbol next to the result value.

Spectrum Aliasing
If the total number of bits in a sequence exceeds 2^20 and the RJ,PJ plot says 'Aliased', then the RJ,PJ Spectrum Graph will have potential aliasing. Adjust the memory depth to correct for this problem or reduce the number of bits in the sequence.
