Displayed Trigger Location
When viewing captured waveforms, the trigger point is where the time value is zero (T=0). The trigger point is indicated with a solid orange triangle at the top of the waveform window.
The Delay at Reference horizontal position control moves the trigger point on the display with respect to the horizontal timebase reference.
The timebase reference is indicated with a hollow orange triangle at the top of the waveform window. The delay value is the time of the reference location (with respect to the trigger, or T=0).
Dragging a waveform left or right on the display is one way of adjusting the horizontal position.
The timebase reference can be located at the left, first division from the left, center, or right of the grid. The timebase reference location does not change as the horizontal scale (time/div) or position is adjusted.
When the Delay at Reference horizontal position is zero, the timebase reference location specifies how much pre- and post-trigger data is stored in acquisition memory.
