These commands set parameters that are only applicable to the General Purpose Application's measurements, that is the Dynamic Power, RF Channel, and Spectrum Monitor measurements.
Sets/queries the crest factor for the Dynamic Power, RF Channel, and Spectrum Monitor measurements. The crest factor allows the test set to range correctly and therefore helps prevent over-ranging. The higher the crest factor the less likely that an over-range will occur, however the dynamic range is decreased.
This is the only General Purpose Application parameter that can be set differently for each application, for example in the W-CDMA Cal Application you can use SETup:GPMeas:CFACtor:WCALibration[?]. The default crest factor is different in some applications. For more information on setting the crest factor for other applications or the defaults refer to the SETup:GPMeas:CFACtor[:SELected][?] commands detailed for the other applications.
The optional [:SELected] keyword specifies that the setting or query applies to the currently selected application. The GCALibration keyword specifies that the setting or query applies to the GSM/GPRS/EGPRS Cal Application.
Setting Range: 0 to 20 dB
Query Range: 0 to 20 dB
*RST Setting: 4 dB
Test Set Requirements: E6601A WCTS Program Version A.04 and above
Example:
' Set the crest factor for the General Purpose measurements to 0.
TestSet.WriteString("SETup:GPMeas:CFACtor 0")
