The Measurement screen is used to set up measurements and view their results. This topic details some of the features of the Measurement screen.
To access the Measurement screen:
using the front panel:
under SCREENS, press the Meas key.
from the display's Main Menu:
on the Main Menu select the Screens menu, then Measurement.
Press the Meas
Select key to display the Measurement Selection
window.
In the Measurement
Selection window select one or more measurements.
A Results window is displayed for each of the
measurements you selected, for example RF Channel Suite
Results as shown below.
Most Result windows have multiple tabs, for
example, most of the measurement suites have a summary tab and a tab for
each measurement within the suite, and other measurements may have tabs
for graphical and numerical results.
To set up the parameters for a specific measurement you must ensure that the Results window for the measurement you want to set up is selected. When it is selected the corresponding measurement setup softkey is displayed. The Setup window may also have multiple tabs as shown below.
The Windows From Other Screens softkey is available on the Measurement screen once a measurement is selected. This softkey allows you to display selected windows from other screens on the Measurement screen. Being able to display a window from other screens, on to the Measurement screen is useful when you want to quickly change, for example, an RF Generator parameter, and watch the effect it has on the measurement results.
Depending on which application you are
using there may only be one window that can be selected or there may be
multiple. Therefore the Windows From Other Screens
softkey either displays the other window immediately (when only a single
window is available), or a selection window (in instances where there
are multiple other windows).
In the instance where there are multiple windows from other screens available,
it is only possible to have one of these windows displayed on the Measurement
screen at any one time. Therefore if you select another window, then the
first window automatically closes. This window also automatically closes
if you select to open the measurement setup window.
The windows that can be displayed using the Windows From
Other Screens softkey are pre-defined and you cannot change them.
When a window from another screen is displayed on the Measurement screen it has exactly the same appearance and function as on it's own screen. Therefore changing a parameter setting while on the Measurement screen causes exactly the same behavior as if you changed the parameter whilst on it's own screen
