Last Updated: August 29, 2007

These commands set up the Power versus Time marker and graph in the RF Channel (RFCH) measurement suite.

For more information on the conventions used in the programming examples click here.

DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:MARKer[:STIMe][?]

The setting form of this command performs two functions: (1) sets the marker time in seconds for the RF Channel Suite Power versus Time measurements (see DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:MARKer:TIME[?]) and (2) sets the marker state to on (see DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:MARKer:STATe[?]).

The query form of this command returns the current Power versus Time measurement marker time.

The units (S|MS|US|NS) are optional, if no units are specified then units default to S.

Setting Range: 0 s to the measurement interval (set using SETup:RFCHannel:INTerval[:SELected][?])

Query Range: 0 s to the measurement interval (set using SETup:RFCHannel:INTerval[:SELected][?])

Resolution: 0.01 (based on the current units)

*RST Setting: 0 s

Test Set Requirements: E6601A WCTS Program Version A.03 and above

Example:

' Set the power versus time marker time on and to 20 ms.

TestSet.WriteString("DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:MARKer 20MS")

DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:MARKer:STATe[?]

Query Range: 0 | 1

*RST Setting: 0 | OFF

Test Set Requirements: E6601A WCTS Program Version A.03 and above

Example:

' Set the power versus time marker state on.

TestSet.WriteString("DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:MARKer:STATe 1")

DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:MARKer:TIME[?]

Sets/queries the marker time in seconds for the RF Channel Suite Power versus Time measurement. The units (S|MS|US|NS) are optional, if no units are specified then units default to S.

Example:

' Set the power versus time marker time to 0.2 ms.

TestSet.WriteString("DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:MARKer:TIME 0.2US")

DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:SCALe:LEVel:MAXimum[?]

Sets/queries the upper power level shown on the RF Channel measurement suite's Power versus Time graph. The setting of this command does not affect the measured results.

The setting of this command is affected by DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:SCALe:PARameters[:STATe][?]:PVTime:SCALe:AUTO, and any changes made to the graph from the front panel.

An error occurs if you attempt to set the maximum graph level to a lower value than the minimum graph level. If you want to set a lower maximum graph level you must first set the new minimum graph level using DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:SCALe:LEVel:MINimum[?].

Setting Range: -119.99 to 50 dBm

Query Range: -119.99 to 50 dBm

Resolution: 0.01 dBm

*RST Setting: 50 dBm

Test Set Requirements: E6601A WCTS Program Version A.03 and above

Example:

' Set the power versus time graph upper level to 40 dBm.

TestSet.WriteString("DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:SCALe:LEVel:MAXimum 40DBM")

DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:SCALe:LEVel:MINimum[?]

Sets/queries the lower power level shown on the RF Channel measurement suite's Power versus Time graph. The setting of this command does not affect the measured results.

The setting of this command is affected by DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:SCALe:PARameters[:STATe][?]:PVTime:SCALe:AUTO, and any changes made to the graph from the front panel.

Setting Range: -120 to 50 dBm

Query Range: -120 to 50 dBm

Resolution: 0.01 dBm

*RST Setting: -120 dBm

Test Set Requirements: E6601A WCTS Program Version A.03 and above

Example:

' Set the power versus time graph upper level to 40 dBm.

TestSet.WriteString("DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:SCALe:LEVel:MAXimum 40DBM")

DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:SCALe:PARameters[:STATe][?]

Sets/queries whether or not the graph is scaled based on the RF Channel measurement suite's measurement interval, and the expected power.

When set to ON the graph is scaled based on the settings of:

If one of these parameters are changed the graph is automatically re-scaled.

The setting of this command does not affect the measured results.

This command is automatically set to OFF if you use the front panel to adjust the scale.

Setting Range: 0 | OFF | 1 | ON

Query Range: 0 | 1

*RST Setting: 1 | ON

Test Set Requirements: E6601A WCTS Program Version A.03 and above

Example:

' Set the power versus time graph scaling off.

TestSet.WriteString("DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:SCALe:PARameters OFF")

DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:SCALe:TIME:STARt[?]

Sets/queries the start time shown on the RF Channel measurement suite's Power versus Time graph. The setting of this command does not affect the measured results. The units (S|MS|US|NS) are optional, if no units are specified then units default to S.

The setting of this command is affected by DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:SCALe:PARameters[:STATe][?]:PVTime:SCALe:AUTO, and any changes made to the graph from the front panel.

Setting Range: 0 s to the measurement interval (set using SETup:RFCHannel:INTerval[:SELected][?]) plus 1 measured point

Query Range: 0 s to the measurement interval (set using SETup:RFCHannel:INTerval[:SELected][?]) plus 1 measured point

Resolution: 0.01 (based on the current units)

*RST Setting: 0 s

Test Set Requirements: E6601A WCTS Program Version A.03 and above

Example:

' Set the power versus time graph start time to 0.5 ms.

TestSet.WriteString("DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:SCALe:TIME:STARt 0.5MS")

DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:SCALe:TIME:STOP[?]

Sets/queries the end time shown on the RF Channel measurement suite's Power versus Time graph. The setting of this command does not affect the measured results. The units (S|MS|US|NS) are optional, if no units are specified then units default to S.

The setting of this command is affected by DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:SCALe:PARameters[:STATe][?]:PVTime:SCALe:AUTO and any changes made to the graph from the front panel.

An error occurs if you attempt to set the graph's stop time to a lower value than the start time. If you want to set a lower stop time you must first set the new start time using DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:SCALe:TIME:STARt[?].

If the measurement is set to single trigger (set using SETup:RFCHannel:CONTinuous[?]) and the measurement interval (set using SETup:RFCHannel:INTerval[:SELected][?]) is changed, this stop time is not changed until the measurement is initiated.

Example:

' Set the power versus time graph start time to 1.5 ms.

TestSet.WriteString("DISPlay:MEASurement:RFCHannel:PVTime:SCALe:TIME:STARt 1.5MS")
