Waveform Licensing 5-Pack and 50-Pack

Waveform licensing is not available for the N7605C, N7607C, and N7614C.

Waveform licensing is a cost-effective solution that lets you license individual waveforms rather than the Signal Studio software. Download any of the N76xxC Arb-based Signal Studio waveform creation software products to create and permanently license up to 545 waveforms to meet your specific test requirements. The latest instrument firmware enables you to evaluate the waveforms for up to 48 hours before choosing the ones you want to keep. Waveform licensing is only available for the following signal generator models:

Waveform licensing 5-pack consists of nine different option numbers (Options 221-229). Each option enables you to license up to five Signal Studio waveforms, one waveform for each of the five available slots per option. By ordering all nine options, you can store a total of 45 Signal Studio waveforms.

Waveform licensing 50-pack consists of ten option numbers (Options 250-259). Each option enables you to license up to 50 Signal Studio waveforms, one waveform for each of the 50 available slots per option. By ordering all ten options, you can store a total of 500 Signal Studio waveforms.

With the latest instrument firmware (see details below), each waveform slot provides a 48-hour trial period to access the full functionality of all N76xxC Arb-based Signal Studio waveform creation software for the purpose of creating and evaluating an unlimited number of Keysight-validated, performance-optimized waveforms.

Getting a Waveform License

Waveform licensing 5-pack and 50-pack are available by contacting Keysight. With each order, you will receive a license:

When ordering multiple waveform licenses of either 5-pack or 50-pack, be sure to use different option numbers; the same option cannot be licensed to a signal generator more than once. For example, to order two licenses for either license type:

Firmware Requirements

Only recent instrument firmware revisions (see below) provide a 48-hour trial period for you to evaluate a waveform prior to permanently locking it to a 5- or 50-pack slot. The trial period begins when you assign a waveform file to a slot. During the trial period you can playback, clear, or replace the waveform in that slot. Earlier firmware revisions do not support a trial period, so once you assign a waveform to a slot, it is permanently locked. To benefit from the trial period, upgrade your firmware to the latest revision.
