DCHn

The Dedicated Channel (DCH) is a downlink or uplink transport channel. The DCH can be transmitted over the entire cell or over only a part of the cell using beam-forming antennas.

Refer to DPDCHn.

W-CDMA (PRACH) Configuration Buttons

This section defines the W-CDMA/HSPA+ DPCCH/DPDCH's buttons. The Restore Default Settings button is available in all of the W-CDMA/HSPA+ Uplink (DPCCH/DPDCH) > Channel's tree nodes.

Restores all of the W-CDMA/HSPA+ channel's parameters to their default conditions.

1. DCH

Block Size

Range: 0 to 5000

Default: 244 (DCH1), 100 (DCH2), 20 (DCH3-6)

Sets the coupling block size for the selected dedicated transport channel (DCH).

Coding Type

Choice: 1/2 Rate Convolutional Encoder | 1/3 Rate Convolutional Encoder | Turbo Coder | No Coding

Default: 1/3 Rate Convolutional Encoder (DCH1-2),

1/2 Rate Convolutional Encoder (DCH3-6)

Sets the coding type of the data for the DPCH.

CRC Length

Choice: 0 | 8 | 12 | 16 | 24

Default: 16 (DCH1),

12 (DCH2),

8 (DCH3-6)

Sets the number of the cyclic redundancy check (CRC) bits for DCH.

TTI

Choice: 10 | 20 | 40 | 80 (ms)

Default: 20 ms (DCH1),

40 ms (DCH2),

10 ms (DCH3-6)

Sets the transmission time interval (TTI) allowed for DCH.

Bits Per Frame

Indicates the bits per frame for the selected dedicated transport channel (DCH).

Bit Rate

Indicates the bits rate for the selected dedicated transport channel (DCH).

Puncture Rate

Indicates the percentage of the total bits removed from or added to the fully coded channel.

Maximum Puncture Rate

Indicates the allowed maximum puncture rate.

Rate Matching Attribute

Range: 1 to 256

Default: 256 (DCH1-2),

1 (DCH3-6)

Sets the rate matching attribute.

Number of Blocks

Range: 0 to 512

Default: 1

Sets the number of blocks transmitted by the active dedicated transport channel (DCH).

2. DCH Data

Data

Choice: PN9 | PN15 | FIX4 |Custom Pattern | User Data

Default: PN9

Sets the data pattern for the dedicated transport physical channel (DCH).

Where User File is selected, the data file must be in binary format and specify the bit length.

3. Error Insertion Settings

Error Insertion Mode

Choice: None | BER | BLER

Default: None

Sets the error insertion mode.

BLER

Range: 0 to 1, Resolution: 0.001

Default: 0

Sets the block error rate for the BLER insertion. This field is enabled when the Error Insertion Mode is set to "BLER".

BLER Error Blocks

Indicates the number of error blocks for the BLER error insertion.

BLER Total Blocks

Indicates the number of total blocks for the BLER error insertion.

BER

Range: 0 to 1, Resolution: 0.0001

Default: 0

Sets the bit error rate for the BER insertion. This field is enabled when the Error Insertion Mode is set to "BER".

BER Error Bits

Indicates the number of error bits for the BER error insertion.

BER Total Bits

Indicates the number of total bits for the BER error insertion.
