DCH #n

For Reference Measurement Channels (RMC), the DCH parameter values will vary depending on the link direction and data rate of the selected channel as specified in the standards. Refer to RMC Configuration for a list of fixed parameters associated with each channel.

For User Defined DPCH, some DCH parameter values are editable to allow for flexibility in performance testing. For specific details, refer to the parameter definitions below.

DCH #n Channel Attributes

Payload

Selections: PN9 | PN15 | Pattern | 0, 1 Text File

Default: PN9

Click the cell and the icon at the far right of the cell to access the data menu.

PN9

select random sequence numbers

PN15

select random sequence numbers

Pattern

this selection activates the Pattern Bits cell, which opens the ClosedPattern Bits Editor window. The editor allows you to define a custom bit pattern of up to 262144 bits in length. You can also import and export bit patterns. After you set the pattern, the number of bits and the first 8 bits of the pattern are displayed in the cell.

0, 1 Text File

select this to load a user-defined 0, 1 Text File as the data source. When this is selected as the data type, two new cells are added to the cell format.

  1. Click to expand the cell to access the User File cell.

  2. Click at the far right of the User File cell. An Open window is displayed for navigating to and selecting the desired ASCII file (*.txt). The Data Length cell is updated with the corresponding length.

Block Size

Range for User Defined DPCH: 1 to 5000

View the block size (information data) as specified for the channel depending on the link direction and the selected data rate. You can enter a value for a user defined DPCH.

Number of Blocks

Range for User Defined DPCH: 1 to 512

View the number of blocks of the current channel as specified in the standards for the channel depending on the link direction and the selected data rate. You can enter a value for a user defined DPCH.

CRC Size

Range for User Defined DPCH: 0, 8, 12, 16, 24

View the CRC size as specified for the channel depending on the link direction and the selected data rate.

For a user defined DPCH, click the icon at the right of the cell to select the CRC size or double-click the cell to cycle the selections.

Coding Type

Range for User Defined DPCH: None, 1/2 convolution coding, 1/3 convolution coding, 1/3 turbo coding

View the coding type as specified for the channel depending on the link direction and the selected data rate.

For a user defined DPCH, click the icon at the right of the cell to select the coding type or double-click the cell to cycle the selections.

TTI

Range for User Defined DPCH: 5, 10, 20, 40, 80 ms

View the TTI length (ms) as specified for the channel depending on the link direction and the selected data rate.

For a user defined DPCH, click the icon at the right of the cell to select the TTI length (ms) or double-click the cell to cycle the selections

Rate Matching Attribute

Range for User Defined DPCH: 0 to 256

View the rate matching attribute to be used in coding the DCH. When multiplexing multiple transport channels, each DCH channel is associated with a rate matching attribute as set in the standards.

For a user defined DPCH, enter a value for the rate matching attribute. This process is carried out so that the block size matches the radio frame(s). It will either repeat bits to increase the rate or puncture bits to decrease the rate.

Radio Frame Segment Output

View the radio frame segment output (bits) that depends on the currently configured channel information.

Puncture Ratio

View the configured puncture ratio of the current channel that depends on the block size and rate matching attribute of the channel.

Second Interleaver Type

View the second interleaver type of the current channel which is fixed at Frame Related.

Bit Per Frame

View the bits per frame of the current channel that depends on the currently configured channel information.

Data Rate

View the data rate of the current channel.

Resource Unit Setup

The Resource Unit Setup table enables you to configure the resource unit for each channel.
