Transmission Mode
This setting allows you to activate some specific transmission pattern on the HSDPA channel. The transmission pattern consists of two segments which are transmitted periodically. You can set the length or type of each segment. The transmission pattern is defined by Initial SFN , Initial Subframe , First Segment Length , First Segment Type , Second Segment Length and Second Segment Type .
To apply the transmission pattern, you must set up an RB test mode connection and set the
RB Test HS-DSCH Configuration Type
to
User Defined
. Besides, it is strongly recommended you set
User Defined Inter-TTI Interval
to 1 and
User Defined Number of HARQ Processes
to 6 (or more than 6), respectively.
Once the transmission pattern is applied, the transmission will not take into account the compressed mode gap or the CPC DRX reception gap. In other words, an HSDPA block will be transmitted in the TTI indicated to be "transmission" pattern even this TTI is a compressed mode transmission gap or CPC DRX reception gap.
This setting can be changed only when the Call Status is
Idle
or
Connected
.
GPIB Command: CALL:HSDPa:SERVice:RBTest:UDEFined:TMODe
Initial SFN
This setting, together with Initial Subframe , determines the TTI when to start the transmission pattern.
This setting can not be changed when the
Transmission Mode
is set to
Pattern
.
GPIB Command: CALL:HSDPa:SERVice:RBTest:UDEFined:PATTern:INITial:SFNumber
Initial Subframe
This setting, together with Initial SFN , determines the TTI when to start the transmission pattern.
This setting can not be changed when the
Transmission Mode
is set to
Pattern
.
GPIB Command: CALL:HSDPa:SERVice:RBTest:UDEFined:PATTern:INITial:SUBFrame
First Segment Length
First Segment Length
defines the length of the first segment (in HSDPA TTI (2ms)).
This setting can not be changed when the
Transmission Mode
is set to
Pattern
.
GPIB Command: CALL:HSDPa:SERVice:RBTest:UDEFined:PATTern:SEGMent[1]:LENGth
First Segment Type
If the
First Segment Type
is set to
Transmit
, the test set transmits the HSDPA blocks during the first segment. If the
First Segment Type
is set to
DTX
, the test set uses alternative H-RNTI to transmit HSDPA blocks which means DTX for the UE.
This setting can not be changed when the
Transmission Mode
is set to
Pattern
.
GPIB Command: CALL:HSDPa:SERVice:RBTest:UDEFined:PATTern:SEGMent[1]:TYPE
Second Segment Length
Second Segment Length
defines the length of the second segment (in HSDPA TTI (2ms)).
This setting can not be changed when the
Transmission Mode
is set to
Pattern
.
GPIB Command: CALL:HSDPa:SERVice:RBTest:UDEFined:PATTern:SEGMent2:LENGth
Second Segment Type
If the
Second Segment Type
is set to
Transmit
, the test set transmits the HSDPA blocks during the second segment. If the
Second Segment Type
is set to
DTX
, the test set uses alternative H-RNTI to transmit HSDPA blocks which means DTX for the UE.
This setting can not be changed when the
Transmission Mode
is set to
Pattern
.
