PEMG Model Workflow
After installing and licensing the PEMG software, launch the software from the Windows Start > IC-CAP 2018 > Power Electronics Model Generator. Select either a New Project, open an Existing Project, or you can open an Example Project.
To extract a model in the Model Generator, follow the five steps visible in the Tab bar on the left side. For detailed information about each step, refer to the PEMG software help file.

Step 1 - Project Definition First define project parameters, set model flags and device constants related to your device and project.

Step 2 - Import Measured Data Load the measurement / characterization data from a highly structured directory.

Step 3 - Extract Model Execute the extraction flow. You can run the manual or automatic model extract to get to the final model parameters.

Step 4 - Verify Model Review the model accuracy by defining model quality checks and plots you would like to use when you generate a report about the model accuracy.

Step 5 - Export Report and Model Export the device model parameters and create a HTML / PDF report based on the defined "Verify" plots.

Each step depends on the previous step(s). Once they are all completed, you can jump between steps to make modifications to individual items.
