PXI instrument vendors do not ordinarily expose the information needed to directly access a PXI instrument. This information is cryptic and may change from one firmware version to the next. Instead, vendors provide instrument drivers, software front panels, and other programs for instrument access. Under normal circumstances, instrument users should not attempt to access PXI backplanes or instruments using this class.
