Frequency Span Accuracy Performance Test

Frequency Span Accuracy is a measure of the EMI receiver's sweep linearity. The test is done in several spans to check all modes of the synthesizer circuitry.

The generator signal is placed at the first graticule in the span and the frequency is read. Then the generator signal is placed at the ninth graticule of the span and the frequency is measured. The frequency difference is compared to 0.80 * Span setting. Since the source is locked to the DUT reference, the source frequency error is zero. This testing is performed in lowband so all model numbers share the same test.
